What Channel Is Surviving R Kelly on Uk
UK viewers are getting the chance to see controversial new documentary Surviving R Kelly for themselves following its airing in the US.
Tiger King star Jeff Johnson dies by suicide aged 58
R Kelly is currently under criminal investigation for physical, sexual, and emotional abuse allegations. Recently, Kelly's lawyer has accused the women who appear in Surviving R Kelly of simply 'trying to make money'. This statement comes in the immediate wake of a new video which has surfaced that allegedly shows Kelly having sex with an underage girl.
US channel Lifetime screened the show, which seeks to expose the singer for decades of alleged abuse against women, earlier this year.
At the time of its initial release, no UK network had picked it up (and Lifetime doesn't broadcast here). However, it was soon announced that we would get to see it on our side of the pond after all.
What channel is Surviving R Kelly on and when is it airing?

Women's groups come forward to take up arms against the musician, as other major public figures and pop culture icons begin to be held accountable for their misconduct. Is it finally time for R Kelly to face the music?
People in the music biz from John Legend, who appears in the show, to Lady Gaga, who apologised for collaborating with R Kelly back in 2013, to Beyonce's father, who watched Destiny's Child very closely when the band worked with R Kelly back in in the 90s, have all spoken out against the accused musician.
Jada Pinkett Smith has said '[the show] brought up A LOT'.
'Mothers and fathers … it's tough content but it's important we have conversations with both our daughters and sons around the many issues in this docuseries. It's well done and makes it clear that we gotta do better … in so many ways.'
On his appearance in the docuseries, John Legend has said that, 'I had good friends that were part of the #MuteRKelly movement. They were literally marching on the streets and they work with rape victims in Chicago.
'They try to help them recover, try to help them have a voice, and they work with a lot of black girls in Chicago who are often overlooked.'
To everyone telling me how courageous I am for appearing in the doc, it didn't feel risky at all. I believe these women and don't give a fuck about protecting a serial child rapist. Easy decision.

Surviving R Kelly features multiple exes of the 51-year-old, as well as others who have collaborated with him over the years.
Women including Lisa VanAllen, Sparkle, and Lizzette Martinez all appeared, talking about their experiences with him, and things they've witnessed that shook them to their core.
John Legend was also in the show, which has prompted many to praise him to shirking the 'boys club' mentality that exists in a number of industries.
Meanwhile, viewers in the UK have reacted with shock and disgust to what they've seen in the show, and have come out in support of the women who are speaking out against the Kelly.
There's also another two-part R Kelly documentary, from BBC Three, called R Kelly: Sex, Girls & Videotapes and R Kelly: The Sex Scandal Continues.
The series follow Ben Zand, filmmaker and ex-R Kelly fan, as he speaks to the family of Jocelyn Savage, who believe their daughter is a trapped in an abusive sex cult.
Interesting how the tide has changed in a year… Whilst making both of my R Kelly docs for @BBCThree, not even one celeb would reply, never mind talk to me about R Kelly. Guessing they thought it'd blow over and people would forget the story. Glad that wasn't the case. https://t.co/2DIbmALqOP
